Mornington Peninsula, Melbourne's summer playground

It takes about an hour to go around Port Phillip Bay from Melbourne to Frankson, cradle of a series of tourist town in the dream and the sandy beach. Visit Mornington, where the yachts bobbing in the harbor and along the tranquil beaches such as Mount Martha, Safety Beach and Dromana. Observe the small colorful huts lined up on the sand along the peninsula. Swim with dolphins in the Sorrento area or along the ancient world at the Melbourne meet all of the international cafe in Portsea.Sorrento and Portsea are both located on the top of the peninsula, among the gentle beaches on the bay and spectacular surf zone in Bass Strait. 

Away from the shore, visitors can snorkel or dive with Diving with fish, sea dragons, soft corals and even a sunken submarines from World War I in the marine park around Port Phillip Heads. Observe the water bears, dolphins and cormorants in the scenic train from Sorrento. From November to March is conducted fishing season, and visitors can fish from the loading dock on the bay, the beach or on a rental boat in the Strait of Bass Strait. Surfing on the beach, or Sorrento and Portsea on Rye Beach, Point Leo or Gunnamatta. Galloping on horseback, through the wave breaks at Gunnamatta, horseback riding or walking in Arthurs Seat, Cape Schanck, Red Hill or Sommerville. 

When visitors feel hungry, go to the mainland. Guests will find the picturesque wine production, with 170 vineyards and wine shops are concentrated around Red Hill, Merricks, Balnarring, Moorooduc, Shoreham and Main Ridge. Taste pinot and chardonnay in the typical home computer and visit the small beer. Buy organic fruits and vegetables at roadside stalls in the garden or pick your own strawberries, berries and cherries from about November to April. Wander among the olive woods overlooking the sea or picnic at one of the many private gardens and public. Guests can relax at home in the rose garden heritage dating back centuries, the maze of fences and manicured lawns carefully. 

After feasting, come relax at the spa in Mornington, Red Hill, Fingal, Rye or Portsea. Play a golf game on the golf course design the world's leading professional stretched across the peninsula. Try to participate in a unique golf course at Flinders sea or enjoy the festival atmosphere at the Sea Port address Cascade Golf Pro-Am held in January 2009. If visitors are interested in art, crafts and collectibles, visit the collection at a huge antique store previously sold apples in Tyabb. Enjoy the art of local artists in galleries in Mornington, Sorrento and Flinders and admire the paintings inspired by the beautiful scenery on the trail costal Art Trail around Port Phillip Bay. 

During summer, Morning Peninsula by noisy events. Watch the boats go through the peninsula in the boat race from Melbourne to Hobart in late December. Standing on the beach cheering for Portsea Swim Classic prize pool or prize pools from Pole to Rye Pier, both of which took place in January. Also in January, will take place here Jazz Festival Briars Park in Mount Martha, Country Music Festival, Red Hill or Coolart Jazz Festival in Somers. Enjoy the fresh farm produce and abundance of the peninsula at Dromana Strawberry Festival, Frankston Sea Festival in January and Celebrations Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noir in February. 

Despite enjoying life at the playground this summer way, visitors will also have a lot of work to do.
